White-Crowned Sparrow
Taken at the Martin Luther King Jr. Regional Shoreline at about 5m. Brave little sparrow!

I'd point out that the bird is not nesting, near as we could tell. This bird was just off a busy, paved walking trail and caught our attention. After the bird moved-off we really didn't see any indication it was doing anything but sitting there. Very odd, to say the least.

So we took advantage of a rare chance to be this close. These birds are very common here, but still one of the more striking LBJs.
