White eyed gulls streaming past (Ichthyaetus leucophthalmus)

They have been doing this all summer, bouncing up and over the buildings as they head north into the wind, then soaring higher above as they return southwards.

They fly very low over the sea to visit the exposed reefs and low tide.

I am eye level on my roof terrace. Trying to capture these gulls in focus and not blurred is like an annoying computer game!

A beautiful fly by Georgina and nicely captured girl.

As this gull appears to be moving
with the velocity of an arrow shot
from a bow, G, I think you've done
extremely well merely to get him
in the frame. That you've captured
him in perfect focus too is sure
testimony to your photographic
abilities. Well done, you.
(Treat yourself to another biscuit,
as a reward.)
