White Fronted Goose

White Fronted Goose (Anser albifrons)

A White Fronted Goose turned up at Hales Hall Pool near Cheadle (Staffs) recently found by an enthusiastic local young birder. I watched it yesterday morning on the water and later grazing in a field nearby. Today I thought I'd try and digiscope it so here it is.

Hales Hall Pool is a small expanse of water and this Goose was in with the flock of Canada Geese.

Early on in the month we had a Dark Bellied Brent Goose turn up at the same location. I wonder what will turn up next.

Excellent bit of digiscoping there Dean. Well done mate. I'll pop up there tomorrow but I bet it will be gone.
