White-gaped Honeyeater (f) (Stomiopera unicolor)

The females are brown with a narrow white "mustache". Next time I manage to post, I'll share a shot of the male. One of my best shots of the trip, IMHO. But now I'm off for the day. One last errand in Sonoma, then an hour's drive to Martinez, dump the luggage in the hotel room and go out for a birding walk along the bayshore |=)| One new lifer yesterday on my walk at Putah Creek in Davis - a Swainson's Hawk.

WOWSER Ann!!! What a great find for you lass.... only the 12th picture to come in for this species! And I think the first female to come in too!!!
