White Pelicans in Formation

I managed to snap this photo of a huge flock of white pelicans traveling along our coast. I was amazed at the way they worked together to move efficiently as a group. This photo illustrated that method pretty good, which is why I posted it. The lead pelicans would flap thier wings very hard, creating a draft for those in the back, then, after tiring, they would rise, stop flapping, and fall in line to the rear, and the ones behind them would move up, and the process was repeated, over and over and over. Amazing!
Just sometimes the word birdbrain just does not apply!! Effiency in motion, thanks for posting this one.
