White-tailed Ant Thrush - Nocossyphes queue blanche (Neocossyphus poensis)

In Bigodi Swamps, a wonderful wetland area with some 200 nesting bird species. We walked over the 5 km path partly above water, under the canopy of huges trees where different kind of monkeys welcomed us. A dream place for birding and these little ones graced us with their presence for a long time, as they busied themselves over an ant colony.

What a great picture to get of this ant-thrush - a wonderful addition to your Gallery Emilie.

This is such a rare visitor here, only the second picture to come in. Very well done in finding this elusive bird and thanks so much for sharing him with us.

Chris is quite correct of course, there is no limit to the number of images you may post here. Only that we ask you do not post more than 3 in 24 hours, and keep them within the size guidelines.

I'll look forward to seeing some more of your images.

A fabulous behavioural shot, Emilie, and an interesting narrative. Thank you.

Thanx, folks! Also for the info about the unlimited space, I guess I misunderstood the instructions. Good to know, I also prefer to upload bigger images. :)
