White-tailed eagle near Saratov (Haliaeetus albicilla)

  • Gleb Berloff
Minutes after the tremendous sighting of a nest with three white-tailed eagles from my ship en route from Saratov to Samara, I saw a fat kite in the distance. Or so I thought. Looking in, I located yet another white-tailed eagle. Altogether, I saw nine of them during the seven-day cruise, including four on this day. This amount of them amazes me. I think this bird is one of the adults which had built the nest I had seen earlier.
