White-tailed Hawk (Geranoaetus albicaudatus hypospodius) juvenile.
Habitat
Gulf Prairies and Marshes vegetation area, open agricultural fields with some pastureland at ca. 12 m (39 ft) elevation.
Location
FR 1684 east of TX 35, south of Tivoli, Aransas County, Texas, USA.

That is an incredible find, and your photograph illustrates this bird extremely well, to say the least Stanley!

I found in a Raptor field guide I own it is resident, that bird has flown under my radar, good on you.
