White-whiskered Hermit (male)
White-whiskered Hermit (Phaethornis yaruqui) Septimo Pariso Lodge, Mindo in Pichincha Province, Ecuador. West-slope of the Andes. Species is sexually dimorphic but inconspicuously so. Tip of female's tail is conspicuously white-tipped. She also has more pale grayish mottling on median underparts.
Habitat
Feeders: lodge grounds; cloud forest with ornamental plantings, 950-1650 m elevation. West-slope of the Andes.

A superb shot of this beautiful bird. Other bfmembers have already commented on the long bill. This feature is very striking, nearly as long as the body(minus the tail!). I like the red lower mandible.
