White-whiskered Hermit
Continuing my mini-series of in-flight hummingbirds from Ecuador this White-whiskered Hermit was distinctly uncommon - we only found it in two locations in the West of the Andes in the lowland forests (and away from any feeders!). This one was in the Rio Silanche sanctuary about 3 hours from Quito and only about 300m above sea level.
