White-winged Crossbill (Male) (Loxia leucoptera)

These birds are normally reside in boreal forests. I've seen them before in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan in the summer. This winter they are being seen in many places farther south than they're usually found in sometimes fairly large numbers.
Habitat
Spruce and Pine Trees
Location
Tyler Street Cemetery, Van Buren Township, Michigan, USA
Date taken
January 27, 2009
Scientific name
Loxia leucoptera
Equipment used
Nikon D2Xs, Tamron 200-500 mm lens
Great capture. These birds can be difficult to get decent photos of and you've gotten some great images.
