Wow - I wish I could get that sort of definition into my dragonfly shots!

I found you can get better definition by changing the ISO from auto to 80 and underexposing by a third of a stop. I also use a monopod because of the slower shutter speeds. Automatic image stabilization is very good, but it has limitations.

I'll have to give that a go then, though my 40D only goes to ISO 100 I can't see that would make much difference.

Just checked out the spec of your camera too - nice kit!
