Wilson's Warbler (male) (Wilsonia pusilla)

Brilliant is the sky. Clear, and the air crisp yet cool. Everything is awash in radiance: the Sun teasing every colour from the landscape. It is the kind of spring day when one wishes to be doing anything, just as long as it is outside. It is on such a day that Butterbredt is in all it's resplendent glory. Every species of bird is out: a never ending display of forms, plum activity and, of course, colour...lots of colour. One very active warbler is darting through the twigs, limbs, branches and leaves of a shapely willow tree. In it's leaves many forms of insect has ventured out on this spring day. They, too, seem to be basking in the perfect day. The warbler is making meals of them. For the most part it is deep in the shadow enshrouded foliage. But then it emerges on a perch in brilliant light and then...YELLOW. The eye simply can not ignor or miss it. Booming, it seems: a proclamation of spring perfection...Here am I!! This is when the world is perfect. Yes it was a day when one wishes to be anywhere as long as it is outside with the spring perfection for the taking in. The Wilson's warbler only makes a spring day...perfect.

Again, Butterbredt produced another one of my life and target birds.
