Winter Starling (Sturnus vulgaris)

Sorry, I dislike these birds. An invasive species on a colossal level. I don't like the way they look, I don't like the way they walk, I don't like the way they eat. However, it's not their fault they're here, and I do have a grudging admiration for their toughness and adaptability.

Yeah.... they drive me bats at times too Bill, but as you say you have to admire them.... and they do look very nice with their winter spots and when the sun catches their plumage.

You've a great picture of this guy my friend - very well done lad.

I think lots of people feel the same way as you, Bill, but we rarely get them in our garden so it is a treat for me to see a picture of one.

I feel so sorry for our bird life having to deal with that kind of weather. A beautifully detailed capture of this Starling Bill!
