Wire-tailed Swallow
The blue back and chestnut cap show well in this photo. The wire outer tail feathers are hard to see but visible in this image. They are used in the male's display and are much shorter in females. This is the smaller nominate race which is widespread in Africa south of the Sahara. A longer-tailed race occurs in the Indian region
