Wood Pigeon

Wood Pigeon (Columba palumbus)

I found exposing him with the chimney behind was a little easier than when there's just bright sky and it seems to have brought out his colours quite nicely too.

They've certainly been very much more of a presence recently. They used to disappear for weeks at a time.

Nice one Delia a pleasure to see (well good news fence finally finished just one piece to fit in the morning they have to fit it round a pipe then my feeders coming out again might even fit them over the new fence as its solid wood.)

You should choose your words better young lady. Fancy exposing him. Lol. A fine capture of this pigeon against the orange brickwork. TFS

Saw quite a few of these today, though didn't capture any. One of them really startled me, flew up noisily (as pigeons do) out of a tree we were passing in the woods, so loud it sounded like the tree was cracking apart and about to fall over me :eek!:

This one seem very friendly not only posing for you but making sure you have a background to bring out its colors (lol). Fantastic work D! TFS!!!

Yes the chimney shows off his colours beautifully, a very nice shot of this Pigeon.
