Wood Pigeon (Columba palumbus)

Sorry, but I do think these guys are rather the clowns of the garden, aren't they?

I suppose I shouldn't say that about any bird, should I LOL.

The narrative goes well with the image, Delia ... wonderful work ... tfs ...

Well Delia, that is the 2nd time you called a bird a joker in two days! Remember boat billed heron uploaded by Stanley! They won't or can't take offence, now can they? Never mind that, a super close up shot of this dove on the move!! tfs.

Looks like its doing the happy dance Delia...Bet it don't know you called it a clown, LOL.

I don't know. I think they would appreciate knowing that they are known for something ;)

Nicely captured girl.

Great pose, Delia. They're not as intelligent as Feral Pigeons, but they're not stupid either... so they're still worth watching, especially as they waddle like Ducks ;)

A lovely detailed shot of handsome Woodie, Delia. I think they are rather clever clowns. They soon work out how to empty seeds out of a feeder when you have tried your level best to prevent them from doing so. Thanks for sharing this super shot and narrative. Best Wishes.
