Woodcock (houtsnip)
A very difficult species to find and photograph! Because of the low temperatures they come out of the forrests to eat at non-frozen places.

A superb and rare image Marc. I saw one on the ground for the first time yesterday, under a bush, but I couldn't get a clear shot of it. This is excellent.

A super composition Marc...the bird is strikingly marked but well camouflaged.
