Woodpecker Condominium (Melanerpes erythrocephalus)

Just moaning to KC that I haven't seen this guy in a very long time. She posted a beauty a few days ago. They cut down all the dead trees in this community and luckily a few were left in areas not soon to be developed. This one houses both the red-head and red-bellied woodys. At Collins Creek Landing, Murrells Inlet, SC

Big houses on small lots, no one wants a dead tree near their house. Especially with the wind we get here. This tree is off in the woods so should be safe for a while.
