Beautiful shot, but are you sure about the ID? Maybe it's just the angle of the photo, but the dark eye, unstreaked breast and brown cap contrasting with gray body make me think this is a Bushtit (Psaltriparus minimus). And the acrobatic pose is typical for Bushtit also. Glen
 
I would also say that this is a bushtit (a male to be specific as they have dark irises, the females have yellow irises). Wrentits have yellow irises. Very cute action shot (y)
 
Also, the description suggests that this bird was part of a flock. Bushtits travel in flocks, Wrentits do not. Glen
 
Gosh, now I'm all confused. ;-) I found a reference that talks about the curved upper mandible, so it probably is a Bushtit. And that makes me think I have another image here mislabled. Gotta go to the ID forum and make sure either way.
