Gosh!! I think you did well to spot him in there Proavis!!! Was it the eye that gave him away LOL.

How you even found it is beyond me but this is beautiful!
 
Thanks, every one! There is a nice shady spot along the boardwalk at Green Cay Wetlands, a circle of trees where the Yellow-Crowned Night Herons tend to congregate. This morning I counted five hidden away, all in juvenile plumage except for this one, who seemed to be the eldest of the group. There were doubtless a few more in the thickets that I overlooked.
