Yellow-fronted Tinkerbird
Like a small version of a Pied Barbet. Tinkerbirds, formerly called Tinkerbarbets, are warbler-sized, inconspicuous barbets which tend to stay high in the canopy. This one was no exception and I was surprised that my effort resulted in a recognizable image. They are named for their metallic "tink" calls. Three subspecies range through Sub-Saharan Africa. South African birds are the race "P. c. extoni" which is slightly larger than the others and has a broader black band across the forehead.

That's a really pretty bird Joe!! A cracking picture too - thanks lad.

BTW I managed to get rid of about 14 of ColumbiaBirding's 'wrong' images from a GSearch earlier using your -Zoothera hack. Thanks so much for that one!
