Yellow-headed Blackbird

Not usually seen in SE Michigan, so this stunning male was a treat to digiscope at Pt. Mouillee SGA in northern Monroe Co. It posed nicely for 200 digiscoping shots - all but 2 were rejects. This was the last / best image I got. I love the way the phragmites provide a nice background for the cooperative bird.
Habitat
marsh
Location
Pt. Mouillee SGA, Monroe Co. MI
Date taken
06 May 2009
Equipment used
Zeiss 85T*Fl Spotting Scope, 20-60X eyepiece, Coolpix P5100, homemade adaptor
What a wonderful image. Is that wheat it is perched in? Nice work with the scope. :t: :t: :t:
