Yellow Robin_Yellow Bloodwood
A rather noble looking little Yellow Robin. All soft grey, gentle and peaceful. Perched on the beautifully coloured and fibrously-corky-barked Yellow Bloodwood, whose large honey centred blossoms fill the bush with sweet perfume at this time of year.

Thanks guys and girls :t:

These are beautiful natured little birds, and there was just enough light filtering through the bush canopy to get a few shots away. Again, amazed that the wide open aperture, and slow shutter speed managed to give such reasonable results - sometimes the planets just line up for you! :D

With more light on them, the bark of the Yellow Bloodwood tree is the most magnificent tan-yellow colour, tesselated and flaky fibrous, and with large for a Eucalypt, cream coloured blossoms --- it's one of my favourites :))
