thankyou for all the comments, I take it then that this is the more popular version of the two - hardly surprising - the ones I spend less time on are always more popular.
Its just personal preference Nick! The acrylic has an intense beauty of its own that has some of the lucid qualities of watercolour but also the solidness of oil but I always get the impression that acrylic is sometimes neither one medium or the other. I find your watercolours have an urgency and exitement about them that results in beauty captured in a fleeting moment and laid into the paper as pure thought from the eye of a truly gifted artist. I sincerely hope that some day your talents will get the recognition you deserve and I think I speak for many other people on birdforum when I say that we don't see enough of your wonderful work. Hope I'm not gushing too much Nick? lol! Best wishes from Steve.
This is the best of the waggys Nick, it's the quality of the light that gives it the spark which people respond to I think. I love the way that you echo colours and shapes throughout your work. It's subtle but it gives the work a wholeness that lifts it out of the ordinary.
