'You can't see me!.... (Platycercus eximius)

Pete and I had to go over the other side of town yesterday (to see our accountant) so I thought that it might be an opportunity to see if I could find anything different! The weather was a little better and we went to a place where we used to teach students to park the car (between sticks as they wouldn't trust them between cars! lol) .....In this area I sighted R/Lorikeets, Musk Lorikeets, L/Corellas and Galahs! Then Pete went for a walk along the riverside and discovered this beauty! Came racing back to me 'Quick there's some Rosella's close to the path".. when I got there two of them were hiding but I thought that this shot was nice enough to share as it was really trying not to be noticed! ....With all those colours..Ha! Do hope you all like it!

Very nice one indeed Nora! Maybe he wants to enter the "Camouflaged Birds"-competition 3:) 3:) ...

It's beautiful Nora, these are the most difficult of all the Parrots, because they are very nervous. You've done a great job with this one, and the magnificent colours are your reward (and ours). Thanks for posting it. :t:

Those colours would stand out anywhere. It's a lovely shot showing the bird in its natural habitat. Thanks.

P.S. Rose has said it but they are terribly difficult to get a shot of.
