You have to take your chances sometimes! (Troglodytes troglodytes)

Gosh, seems this is the first Eurasian Wren image I've managed to add to my Gallery taken at Mause. I've heard them a lot, seen them occasionally, but they rarely come into view long enough for a picture.

I'm always on the lookout for one though. I noticed a bit of movement in some scrub behind the trees and did a click and hope. Next image was a very blurry flight picture.

Looks like it did not notice you. Well spotted and captured.
I did not play/pay the lottery for tonight. The best I could do to take my chances. My numbers would not even have been close.

Wrens are tough to click. There's one living between my backyard and my neighbour's, but I can never take a picture of that little smartass lol

Looks like you gambel paid off D! Wrens must be notorious difficult world wide. One gets lucky every now and them but they are a secretive and fast moving little guys. Congratulations!

Very well spotted and captured, Delia! I struggle to get pictures of Wrens and it's a while since I even saw one.
