Young Spanish imperial eagle
This saturday photographed this juvenile, perched on an almond tree, not representative of its typical habitat but full of rabbits, a good place for hunting and dispersal.

The photo is not so good because of the distance involved, but is special for me because is the first time I see this emblematic species so near to my home (less than 100 km), and as a prove of its recovery and colonisation of new territories.

Also got help from the forum to rule out some ID doubts

There's nothing wrong with this picture Fernando, it a great action shot showing lots of plumage detail too.

It's good to hear their numbers are recovering.

A very well timed shot and interesting narrative.
