Young white-tailed eagle (Haliaetus albicilla)

  • Gleb Berloff
Young white-tailed eagle sitting in a dead tree above some reedbeds at the Volga-Kama reserve, Russia. This turned out to be a favoured spot to perch for them, because I saw at least three eagles sit there from time to time. The reserve has one of the biggest population densities of the white-tailed eagle in Europe, with the distance between two nests being less than 400m
