Zone-tailed Hawk (Buteo albonotatus)

I recently returned from a trip to Big Bend National Park. I was fortunate enough to get to canoe down a beautiful section of the Rio Grande. I was even more fortunate to come across this bad a** of the river. Majestic creatures.

Hi Ken.... although we've a few pictures of these guys in flight, yours is the first one of a perched bird!!!
