Andrew, i was just reanding your blog. It's REALLY good. Shame about the Hen Harrier and Merlin. I had a very lucky sighting of a merlin on the way to my dentists. If you want to see gulls go to the tips near ssaltholme and park on the side of the road, thats where i have seen all my white winged gulls.

Thank you very much. I have seen both white wingers before but never had a good view of a Glaucous Gull sadly. I will some day I am sure.:t:

my old bogey birds were black tern, little egret and knot, but last year i saw them all(in quite good numbers), so now i really dont have one now, but hen harrier would be most likely, only ever seen 1
but this doesent extend into birds dipped, which included a red backed shrike on my local patch(in worcester), that one hurt when it wasent seen again:-O
