LOL so it is not new, and what a fabulous shots there is for it in the gallery.

was so happy to know that it is the same one we get over here, i only saw the female once, it is more widespread through the southern heights and in Yemen.

another one is the Sylvia mystacea, the Menetries’s Warbler, the photo on OPUS is for the female, which i think is a superb one as she is very difficult to spot leave alone to get such lovely shot, and here is a fantastic shot for the male which is more likely to be seen

Ruaha Chat

Hi all

Very recently the White-headed Black Chat Myrmecocichla arnotti had a split when the collaris race (in Tanzania and Rwanda) was recommended as a valid taxon and becoming "Ruaha Chat" Myrmecocichla collaris.

I have a photo of this species female from Rwanda showing the white collar very well - in Rwanda they don't inhabit miombo woodland like across the border in Tanzania but human habitations and nest in roofs etc.

Managed to find the abstract for the relevant paper on this http://www.springerlink.com/content/j11106w673628434/

The opus waits until the world wide checklists have accepted new splits before adding these as full pages. However, we try to mention such proposed splits in the text and show images of all forms of a given bird, so we would like to use your image in that way. You should upload to the Gallery first, though.
