38. Brett Richards (armchair tick)

I had one tick at the Birdfair but he is a member that hasn't posted for a long time. He was also one of the original BF members.

164. Burhinus.

I saw the back of your head as someone pointed you out to me but I don't think that gives either of us a tick sadly. :)

I only got one BirdFair tick but it was real quality:

57. Edward

The back of his head is Steve's best side, Helen. Why do you think I waited until he'd gone past before I pointed him out?

Only two lifers at BirdFair to my knowledge, Helenelizabeth2 and Steve West (whose site guide was so useful on my last trip to Spain in 2005).

Gutted that you didn't point out the back of Steve West's head to me too, Edward. We also pored over his site guide before our Northern Spain visit and got some useful advice from him on here as well. Maybe next year.

James made a suggestion that we should start a BF equivalent of the UK400Club, whereby we add BF Members we have seen to a tick list:
I think 400 might be a bit ambitious to start with so I've gone for 200 as a target.
As for the ticking rules, well here's a couple of suggestions:

1) You must have spoken to, in person, the member you're ticking.
2) The Member you're ticking must have posted at least once on the forums or Gallery.
:scribe:
Okay, one thing these rules do not make explicit - is it required that I was aware that the 'tick' [is/was/would someday become] a BF member, at the time of the sighting?

I forgot that I sold my 100-400 lens and 1.4 to Alan c1 a few weeks ago and took it to his house.

165. Alan c1

I think if you can get an armchair tick from a subsequent species split you must surely be able to take one from a subsequent BF membership. Encouraging people to join just so that you can armchair tick them is of course very bad form and would not enhance your reputation as a serious lister. :)

39. Sid Ashton - inside the sea watch side

I have 3 so far :)

1.) DigitalEye (only one posting, but maybe I get him to post more one day :))
2.) Doozer (met him 2009 in Sharm)
3.) Steve (met in 2010)

You guys need to come to Kuwait, so I get some more ticks ;)
