Digital Bird Art (1 Viewer)

Hi everyone!

I'm new to the forum. I started painting 6 months ago and I would like to show you some of my recent digital paintings. This is digital watercolour, made with a high-end graphic software.

I'm writing a book for children (which is going to be my first book) and I'm also doing the illustrations for the book. Some of these I'm going to sell on Etsy, I'm not sure if it's allowed to post my Etsy shop link here.

If you want to check out more of my paintings, you can find me on Instagram @andras_vasas.

The first illustration is a Western Yellow Wagtail, this species is one of my favourites, especially when they arrive to the wetlands of my home country in spring.
The second picture is a butterfly from Bali, where we are living now. The species is the Common Cerulean.

I have Krita but I can't seem to get the hang of it. Do you use it? If you do I would love to see some of the art you made with it.

I only asked re Krita as you use Inkscape - another free/open source drawing software package. I tend to favour Artrage but will use other packages in combination if one offers a function or effect that another doesn't. With software like Artrage, Krita, Corel Painter etc, a tablet is essential to get the most from it. When I get the opportunity, I'll try to post a couple of pieces of artwork as you suggest.

I also use Paint Shop Pro as my raster graphics program. I use a drawing tablet with both paint shop pro and inkscape. Looking forward to seeing your digital art

Elizabeth,

Here are a couple of pieces produced for publication in the past few years as promised, both created largely in Artrage but with some elements done in Krita. With apologies to Andras for 'hijacking' his thread!
