That's not a bad idea. I have a trio of goodies in the fridge at the moment, so I'll get a range of backgrounds lined up before snapping them when I get home

Joint list is missing Chestnut? I mentioned having two upthread.

Two December Moths present this morning (one still there from when I first encountered it last night): also a Feathered Thorn and a Common Marbled Carpet.

Also picked up a garden bird year tick last night with Wigeon calling overhead while I was getting the December Moth out of a spider web.

I think you must have had it in the October thread But missed out as William had on 9th ... will amend later. Nice one on the Wigeon.

Blowing a gale out there now, but calming down a bit around 7/8pm, so may put trap on later.

Just 9 moths this morning, 4 in the trap. Dark Chestnut 2 NFY, December Moth 2, Yellow-line Quaker 3, Brick and Chestnut.

Two micros found indoors the last couple of days. Hofmannophila pseudospretella (Brown House Moth) and Agonopterix arenella.

Only a few missing from Norfolk Moths flying in November page now, the most likely being Winter Moth and Blairs Shoulder-knot.

I'm not trying tonight, too wet again, tomorrow looks better.

List updated. Just been out to put some more eggboxes in the trap (it was lashing down with rain earlier on in the day and the ones in there were half sodden). Two Beaded Chestnut (different to the one I just released out the front). Feeling a lot colder than the 8C the thermometer says!

Beautiful Plume flew into the house on 4/11
Blatobasis lacticolella on the patio door yesterday evening 10/11

11/11. Did 2 hours from 17:00, but the wind was too strong after that so gave up. One moth a Red-green Carpet on the wall.
Agree with Dantheman, it felt a lot colder out there than it was showing. Tonight is advertise by my weather apps as marginally better.

Rain stopped play last night, but the night before was pretty reasonable. Nice to get Green-barred Brindle at last, even though it was a rather worn individual it was still pretty fancy, I look forward to getting a fresh one. And as if one tick wasn't enough, I copped for a second in the form of a Scarce Umber, which woke up damn fast this morning, in spite of two nights in the fridge, hence flash-in-pot photo on the night of capture is all I got. Pink-barred Sallow new for the joint November list, Yellow-line Quaker top with numbers on 4, followed by Red-green Carpet on 3. Singles of December Moth, November agg & Silver Y complete the run down.

Yes, it is Green-brindled Crescent, don't know where I got Green-barred Brindle from, total and utter brain fart! Don't think Green-barred Brindle is even a thing!

My latest ever Common Marbled Carpet is all I have to report.

Turning quite a bit colder here now under clear skies and I think that's definitely it for me this year.....until the next mild spell anyway

Still intending to play catch up at some point with more records - not updated since mid-September....

But on Radford's Flame Shoulder, this is appearing in some far flung locations this year with our second and third patch records ever (all this.year) during the week.

Photo 1 is mine from 7th November; Photo 2 is a friends from maybe a mile away on 9th November; & Photo 3 is the two together.

12/11. Warm, slightly windy and rubbish. 3 moths - 2 Green-red Carpet and 1 LBAM, none in trap.

Last two nights - 5.5 and 6C respectively.

Two moths on each, only one in the trap each night - 2 Beaded Chestnuts and then last night 1 Nov moth agg and 1 Angle Shades.

Looking very nice. Wonder what the chance of localised breeding as a result of previous immigration event (eg spring) is? Obviously easier to get overlooked when lots of 'normal' Flame Shoulders about.
