I agree but for the time of year, would you like to call it on just a partial body shot!?The bird to the right of the bunting appears to show streaking on the rump, so possibly Red-throated Pipit.
I did say 'possibly'... It would be good to see clearer photos.I agree but for the time of year, would you like to call it on just a partial body shot!?
Iโm not sure how much rump we can see - Meadow Pipit can have streakiesh utcs

It is thought that the โPipitโ part of the Meadow Pipitโs name comes from its โpipitโ like clipped call (when it isnโt saying โ see-see-see โโฆ). The โMeadowโ part comes from its love of open country and grassy habitats. Some older birdwatchers still use the traditional old name of โTit-larkโ for thbauer-xcel-umui.squarespace.com
(RTP was my initial thought tbh but are there any records for wintering RTP in Bulgaria?)
Can we place a sticky somewhere about this?I canโt help with the ID. Just a reminder that per forum rules you need the location in the thread title. This helps to ensure that forum member who know the birds in that area will take notice and hopefully help out. Thanks
Andrew, I am sorry As I said before, the bird to the right of the Lapland Bunting is a Meadow Pipit, but I am only interested in ID the bird to the right of the Meadow Pipit. Please help!I did say 'possibly'... It would be good to see clearer photos.
What do you think that bird may be, if not a Meadow Pipit?Andrew, I am sorry As I said before, the bird to the right of the Lapland Bunting is a Meadow Pipit, but I am only interested in ID the bird to the right of the Meadow Pipit. Please help!
OK, no problem, thanks for your time!Just to confuse things, I would have called the central bird as a Red Throated and the blurred right hand bird as a Meadow.
I must have missed that, I canโt see where that was said in any of your posts ๐คAndrew, I am sorry As I said before, the bird to the right of the Lapland Bunting is a Meadow Pipit
I would imagine a Rock Pipit (A. petrosus) but I am not familliar with it!What do you think that bird may be, if not a Meadow Pipit?
It looks as if it has orangish legs to me which would rule out Rock PipitI would imagine a Rock Pipit (A. petrosus) but I am not familliar with it!
I see what you mean. You're safe with Meadow Pipit.I would imagine a Rock Pipit (A. petrosus) but I am not familliar with it!
And Rock Pipit! ๐๐Fantasy birding shout out..... Lapland Bunting, R.T. and O.B. Pipit, all in the same photo - how cool would that be!๐
I took those to be bits of vegetation, but Rock Pipit can still be ruled out.It looks as if it has orangish legs to me which would rule out Rock Pipit
