Hi all
I was in leathley this weekend looking out towards pool when I saw what looked like a pair of golden eagles and watched them until they went to high to see, the underwings had a white line on the bone side of each wing. The only bird I have seen like this is the golden eagles on mull . Has anyone else seen these or am I going mad 🤔

Not much here to help you with. Firstly, where is Leathley, google suggests North Yorkshire? How did they resemble eagles? In other words, what did you actually see? I have a couple of ideas what they might be, but don’t want to lead you on; the more information you can give, the better the chance of an identification.

First I thought it was a buzzard and there was a red kite below it, it seemed a lot bigger and under the wings were mainly white over half of it from body to tip, leathley is north yorks just out of otley /ilkley

Could it have been an osprey? Not eagle-sized but definitely longer-winged than buzzard and possibly even red kite. They have lots of white on the wing and are likely to be seen anywhere at the moment as they are migrating north.

Welcome to Birdforum Rutty, Red Kite is increasingly common in your area all year round, I think that’s most likely the species you saw.

Red Kite... I think that’s most likely the species you saw
...even though 'there was a red kite below it, it seemed a lot bigger and under the wings were mainly white over half of it from body to tip' Maybe not.
I'd guess buzzard, though osprey's not a bad idea. But... it's all just guesswork.

Oops, I read the original post only, so much for trying to help;)
