  • Only got to go out once but saw 39 species, including 1 lifer - and, any birds I didn't see last year get a (+).

Another great day at Hughes Hollow with local birders from the Montgomery County Birding Club. Saw 39 species, including tons of warblers, six types of woodpeckers, and a lifer in the Lincoln's Sparrow.

This and several other rarities have shown up at the same spot in Guadalix de la Sierra in the last week, including a juv Kittiwake about 200 miles inland.
 
Week-long trip around Washington, most of the common birds seen by birders in the northern parts of the US and Canada will finally be listed to my year list along with some nice pelagic and sought-after Northwest species.
