The wee one
Then an old friend appeared much further up the lochan. The lovely Little Grebe (or Dabchick).

Too far away to get a really decent image, so I didn't attempt to crop too much, as I thought the setting was attractive anyway. The vegetation was looking really lush!

you did well not to crop, Delia, such a marvelous setting, and the unmistakable little grebe in the middle is so gorgeous, top marks, many tfs!!!

Love the atmosphere in this photo, Delia. I find myself trying to zoom in to often, need to take it back out like you did here.

LOL Lisa... I had zoomed the camera in, but the Dabchick was quite distant for a small bird. It was the cropping I held back on when preparing the picture for upload here.

He was so distant there was no chance of getting a really nice image like that, so changed my mind and showed the setting!
