Swarovski ATX 25-60 x 65mm; some new owner questions

Thanks Horukuru. My personal view is that the resistance that Swarovski have introduced is a bit too much but will see if I can live with it.

    ATX - stiff zoom?

Just found this thread and, having recently bought ATX 65, it at least confirms that I'm not alone in being surprised at the resistance of the zoom ring. There's definitely no way of turning it using just fingers on the top of the ring like can be done with the focus ring, need a full...

I certainly believe (with no scientific evidence barring the comparison of John trap catches to mine!) that having any wildlife corridor alongside increases catch. My garden has no discernible corridor to connect it even though I'm about a mile or so from John and the catch number reflect this...

Swarovski ATX 25-60 x 65mm; some new owner questions

Update. Exchanged the objective module and much better. Even the dealer easily found the sticky point on the original one without me telling him where it was. So back to the zoom now. I had a chance to test this out on the BBAlbatross at Bempton yesterday. Unlike the focus ring which I can turn...

To those with more expertise than I; are the Dingy Shell and 4 Dotted Footman that I had over the weekend of note or species which is expected in south in the right place? I've not had them previously. Thanks

You guys are so lucky! Am in rural Surrey this weekend which is usually much better than my urban Hampshire garden. But last night was just singles of a tatty Pine Hawkmoth, Elephant Hawkmoth, Riband Wave, Bufftip, Peppered Moth, Uncertain, Lackey, Double Square spot, Scarce Footman and a couple...
