That's what I thought too, guys. I was stunned initially, as it was so large... I see bald eagles all the time, and the size of this one had me thinking it might be something else, but I have no idea what it could be aside from an immature bald eagle... a very large one.
Ahh, thanks guys. I think it is indeed a Cooper's... hard to tell them from the Sharpies based on color but from the size difference, I can say these birds were more along the lines of 16" (Cooper's average) rather than 11" (Sharpie average).
