    Kruger, South Africa - March 2022 - Tawny with mangoose?

    My initial thought was dwarf mongoose due to colour and seeing the front paw in that last photo. Also, in comparison to the eagle’s beak it looks quite small. Kruger mongoose species

    I’d not even considered that being an option, as the field guide shows something way darker and the text states that they are rare vagrants whose occurrence in s Africa is controversial!

    Another from 5th August 2022. All photos of the same individual, but there were another 8-10 dotted around in trees round this particular waterhole. I'm seeing a dark eye, without yellow.

    3 looks like a marabou stork to me. I see a flesh coloured throat pouch and the white underneath seems right.
