Reasons not to buy Zeiss SF 8x42?

    Totally agree...

Why no other alphas in 8x32?

What is better on the 8.5X42 for you ?

    Swarovision 10x42

you can't compare a 10X42 to a 8X56....there is too much difference in the size of the exit pupils that give you a such relaxed view with the bigger one ! For that reason i ve dismised the 10X42sv compare to 8.5X42 SV. For me if you have a good glass the size of the exit pupils makes an hudge...

Swarovski must have fixed the glare issues in the SV 8x32.

I would like to have a try on that 8X32....I like a lot the view of the 8.5X42 but i am a little bit afraid that the 32MM One don 't have the relaxed and "walking" view of the 42 (don't like the 10X42 compare to the 8.5X42 probably du to the smaller exit pupil).

Quick look throughout a 8.5x42 EL

i did compare the 8.5 with the 10X42 EL. I like for sure the extra power of the 10X.....but with the 10 one you don t have the super comfy view of the 8.5 (mostly du to the larger exit pupil i think). Furthermore i am not sure but i feel that there is something a little bit different in the...

Zeiss Victory 8x42 SF 524223 REVIEWS?

Is it the last EL that you have ? the first and only EL i ve used is the last one and i found that maybe there is even less friction on the focuser than on Zeiss sf one ! Maybe there is a very little difference between both direction. For sure ergo of the zeiss is overall better and the focuser...

Zeiss Victory 8x42 SF 524223 REVIEWS?

I did not see an orange ring in my pair but the extreme edge is not usable for sure ! (ok maybe extreme edge is not necessary as the FOV is wide). The image at edge is distorded and kind of blue/purple ring. The blurr occur more or less at 80% . With the swaro the last 99% is better than the...

Zeiss Victory 8x42 SF 524223 REVIEWS?

It seems that i am not sensitive at all to RB . I don't wear spec and my view is perfect. I did play one week in a lot of differents conditions with one 8x sf and a 8.5 EL. For me the sentence is clear except the wider FOV the image quality of the SV kill the Zeiss ! Now i am waiting a 10X42...

Kowa Genesis price drop - UK

Well.....if alfa is the top end (Noctivid, EL, SF) i am not agree at all with you.

Zeiss SF 10x42 - Are they really that steady?

I can't say if this 10X will be as steady as a 8X bino but for sure the 8X42 sf for me is steadier than any other 8X42 i have tried !

Quick look throughout a 8.5x42 EL

I did not compare the El to the conquest.....but i did compare the SF with the conquest in the past. For sure SF is an overall better bino than Conquest except for size.

Quick look throughout a 8.5x42 EL

Finally i have a Zeiss 8X42 since one week to play with the swaro... Optically for me the only advantage of the zeiss is the larger FOV that give you a little bit more "relaxed view" (maybe also the extra mm of exit pupil) Except that for me the EL beat the SF in every corner ! All the FOV...

Quick look throughout a 8.5x42 EL

Yes it is....the space between both tube is almost to small to put a finger... For sure i can use it but for long observation it is a bit tiring....SF on that point is wayyy better !
