On the subject of waxwings, just had a report onto the EVW site of 40 plus Waxwings flying parallel between A6 and the Derwent going south at 3.40 at from A6 lay-by just before Whatstandwell Railway Station.

Besthorpe NR- whats going on there? Went to the North bit yesterday for the first time but there was no water!? The south was okay, with some good birds; Little Egret and the massive cormorant roost.
