    Fantastic views of this yesterrday evening of my favorite bird.I watched him for an hour,he didnt seem threatened by my presence and went from bush to bush feeding on catapillars.These birds must have superb eyesite as he would swoop down and pick prey up from a good distance from his perch.

    I was very surprised to see this beauty.I was watching a mistle thrush when i noticed movement in front of it and it turned out to be this Stone Curlew.And near a fairly busy road and not near any of the usual places you may see these lovely birds

    I popped down to a local marsh where iam staying and spent the morning watching this beauty.It has been very active iam guessing it couldnt hunt overnight because of heavy rain .it has chicks in the nest i can hear them....fantastic

    Another picture of a cuckoo.Personally i never get tired of watching and hearing these very special birds.I spend most of april may and june watching them around my local patch whenever i can. I have counted Six males so far this spring.

    I love cuckoos so when i hear the first one of the year it is a real thrill for me.Being able to take pictures is even better .I have spent four days trying to take a picture of this fantastic bird i finally was able to this evening .

    I had a great day at lakenheah fen yesterday.Highlights of the day was watching two bitterns chasing each other for about 10mins over the reedbed.They came almost over my head 3 or 4 times .
