I'm wondering what the shorebird migration will be like at Jamaica Bay in second week of May, and what the current water levels are on the ponds? Is it a bit early for the peak migration? What are the photographic opportunities like? I'd be grateful for any info - thankyou.

Update - 3,500+ (!) Honey Buzzards SW over Algarrobo between 8.30-10 this morning in a light westerly.....

Heading out to Tarifa, I think the raptor passage has been very good the last few days? I see the wind direction is currently forecast westerly - so Algarrobo / Gib end of straits good rather than Cazalla? Any news from La Janda? And Los Lances? Thanks ...... looking forward to it!
