    It’s May!—has anybody bought/tried out a NL Pure 32 yet?

Yes, Yes ... in hand and at the face it may not make a difference. However, a slight minutia of size may make a big difference in the jacket or hoodie pocket. Maybe snag up more and not able to quickly deploy or put back, or maybe no longer fit altogether and have to carry around the neck, or...

    It’s May!—has anybody bought/tried out a NL Pure 32 yet?

Agree; part of the charm of 8x32 was their smallish size. Now that the x32 is getting larger, it opens the gap for x30. Swaro already has theirs. Waiting on Zeiss for theirs (my expectations are optics that rival their x25 w/ advantages of the wider objective - about nirvana for me). CG

Will there ever be an alpha or second tier 7.5x roof prism binocular ????

I'm using 7x and 8x and 8.5x. Have used 6x and 6.5x. From my experiences, I believe I'd like to own a top tier 7.5x binocular (center focus wheel). It could be x32, or x35, or x36, or x42. But, I would likely prefer one in x32 and another in x42. Is there any chance we will have the choice...

    Cabela's branded optics - a warranty warning!

This is where it started for me. Drove across the state and partially into the next one to get there. That was about 25 years ago. Spent the morning shopping, took a break for lunch, and continued shopping late into the afternoon. I purchased a pair of Cabela's branded high tech camo pants on...

    Sightron "Blue Sky" II 8x32

IT'S BACK...... I had to resurrect this thread ... ha, ha ... in response to the "value sweet spot" thread that recently kicked off; thinking wasn't it unanimously decided that this is IT???? .... and to hear the grumble of many long term forum members from hundreds of miles away :) he, he...

    Value sweet spot?

Thanks Andy. Yes, disappeared for a long while but see all here is as I last remember it. Think I have learned to enjoy binoculars for what they are and the views they provide without getting caught up in all the review, talk, and hype (aka - nitpicking). Besides, my eyes aren't what they used...

    Styrka Out Of Business

Ha Ha ... this is exactly my experience with lifetime guarantees!!! Yep, have a few things with lifetime warranties and the company is no longer around or no longer honoring those lifetime warranties. It's all good on paper and talk but reality is something different!!! On paper and talk I...

    Value sweet spot?

+1 What this guy said! I was asking myself the same question this past week as I brought a Swaro EL home from the store with me. I have a couple binoculars in the $450-$600 range that I could get along fine with. I have a couple binoculars in the $800-$1050 range that I could get along fine...

    Review of 8x25 Victory Pocket

+1 on this. I feel the same about the Zeiss 8x25 and 8x32 EuroHD; I seem to be getting along fine with the CL other than the diopter adjustment. Fortunately, I can set it once and mostly be done with it. CG

    Review of 8x25 Victory Pocket

I see this as a viable offering in the Zeiss line; it is different enough from the 8x32 SF and copies/competes with the Swarovski lineup. Hopefully in time this becomes reality. What I would like to see: an 8x30 that has the optics of the 8x25 Victory, is a simple 8x30 package meaning focus...

    Review of 8x25 Victory Pocket

Zeiss needs to put the optics of their 8x25 Victory into a x30 format. They will get my money instantly!!! CG

    Swarovski 8.5x42 purchase

I'm in the same shoes, picked up an EL 8.5x42 (Field Pro not Legend) with the shorter close focus this past week at a local big box outdoor sports retailer here in the US. I was a little surprised as I thought these were gone. One Field Pro unit showed up at each of the store locations over...

    Binocular bargains

If not already mentioned, it appears the usual internet optics dealers have new Leica UVHD Plus models for a few hundred less than their normal retail - a little more, a little less, depending on the model. CG
