The cat’s got to eat so it will come in eventually. Sorry but the only sure way to protect birds roosting/nesting, is to keep cats out...

It’s a female Hazel Grouse - note the speckled throat and white borders round it - (male has a black throat) also the long white braces...

Stupendous - the last Hazel Grouse I saw was also it’s rear end after combing through dense forest for several hours. 🙂
