As far as the SLCs, I never focus at objects less than 20 feet away, much less 6 feet, so the new SLC 8X42 checks all the boxes for me...

It is a very good 8X42, I purchased mine on closeout for a bit over $1300. The close focus is not an issue for me, nor is the long focus...
