    Berlin Treecreeper, mid-March

Thanks. I didn't hear much. Are any of these any more use?

I haven't been on birdforum for a while and I forgot how entertaining this shit is. Thanks all. Now I need to read up on feathers.

    Berlin Treecreeper, mid-March

I saw this Treecreeper in a Berlin park last week. It was in a similar area to a firecrest, being creepy. I left my Collins at Home (yes, I know) and haven't really convinced myself either way. From what I can figure out on ebird, Berlin is Tree-creeper overlap territory. My best guess (and...

Excited for tomorrow. Is anywhere in the area a particularly good bet for Siskins? Richard

Thanks - I will definitely be at Musselburgh. Now I have to make sure I'll recognise a Twite!

    Sure-fire Willow Tit in December?

Thanks all. I found one Willow Tit at Fairburn Ings Monday (I left Hants at 4am to fit some birding in before my meetings, so I deserved it!). I also saw a lifer Woodcock :-) A nice twofer Happy Birding Richard

Wow - thanks. A load of votes for Yellowhammer. My suggestion of Linnet didn't get much traction - any reasons to reject it?

    Lothian Birding

I am going to be in Edinburgh Friday and Saturday, and am hoping to turn up some information. I hope to go to Musselburgh and a couple of other places Saturday... Could anyone say whether there is still a twite flock at John Muir Country Park (as there was in 2006 according to the internet)?

Thanks a lot. Sometimes "give up" is the kindest reply :-)

    Finch?, Hampshire, UK, Bramshott Chase

I would love to know people's thoughts on this bird. It felt finch-sized and shaped but I couldn't see much contrast and the photo isn't much better. From the Collins guide, I think my best guess is Linnet - anyone have a better idea? Thanks Richard

    Sure-fire Willow Tit in December?

Thanks a lot, all. I will probably give Fairburn Ings two shots on the way up and on the way down, so that's double sure-fire! I'll let you know how I fare. The RSPB Star Species for the site doesn't seem to think them worth a mention :-) I may think Willow Tits are more exciting than I...

    Sure-fire Willow Tit in December?

Amazing - thanks. Do you mean Fairburn Ings RSPB? All I get on Google for Fairburn Inns is somewhere near Atlanta GA...

    Sure-fire Willow Tit in December?

I am driving from Edinburgh to Surrey on December 15th (ugh) and would love to stop off somewhere with a high chance of a Willow Tit. I have never seen one, and I would love to. Does anyone have any suggestions? I can stop off almost anywhere, I suppose. Thanks a lot, Richard

    Keflavik stopover March 20th

Wonderful - thank you. I will look on ebird (I use it already) and look up all these places on google maps.
